Stess Less Sunday : Aztec Secret Clay Mask

Yep, another face mask. I can't help it, face masks are one of my favorite beauty rituals and since I usually put one on whilst taking a bath, it's definitely one of my most stress reducing ones. This mask is something different; the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask is a powder clay that you mix with water or apple cider vinegar to create your mask. Let me forewarn you, this mask is intense. It seriously feels like it's sucking your pores clean as when it dries it makes my face feel puckered. Weird, I know, but that is the only description I can think of to match the feeling. This mask is marketed as a deep pore cleanser which is great for me since I have oily skin and big pores. However, if you have dry skin I would suggest using this mask with caution as I could see it leaving your skin feeling really parched.

I keep a bowl, the apple cider vinegar and my mask all in my bathroom cupboard so it's convenient to make this whenever I want.

The clay powder comes in a giant tub and since I only use a spoonful at a time, it will last me forever!

I have used water to mix this mask before but the consistency is a lot nicer with the apple cider, which is a natural astringent as well.

I use a plastic spoon and just wash and reuse it. I feel like it's the perfect measurement for one mask.

You can make your mask as thick or as thin as you like by adjusting your powder and vinegar ratio. I like mine somewhere in between so I do 1 spoonful of the powder to 1 spoonful of vinegar.

I am loving this mask lately as my pores tend to clog as the weather gets warmer. This seriously detoxes my pores and makes my skin feel super smooth.

What face masks are you loving right now?

    1. Girl I wish I could take credit for this mask, it's SO good, but you can actually just buy the powder from Amazon! It says it can be used as a body mask too, which I'm kind of interested in trying haha. I'm so happy you stopped in, absolutely makes my WEEK to hear from you lovely woman! XO -Kim
