Coastal Scents Blush and Eyeshadow Palette

I have a confession to make. I bought this palette solely for the blush shades that came in it. I know, I know, an entire palette for 5 measly colors? Don't fret (were you even fretting, really?), I will use the eyeshadows. Coastal Scents makes some of my favorite eyeshadow palettes so I knew they would still be put to good use. The other thing; do I really need more blush? Well, not need, perhaps, but these are blush colors I don't already own, so there's that. The thing I love most about this palette is it's marketed as a 26 color blush and eyeshadow palette, in which every color can be used as either or. That definitely intrigued me because I do love a multi-purpose product.

The first thing I noticed was the packaging appeared to be a lot cheaper than my other Coastal Scents palettes. In actuality, they are the exact same, this one just doesn't have a mirror. That doesn't bother me as I always use a makeup mirror, even in travel, but I know a lot of people like to have that on hand. The shadows are also not magnetic, so no switching out pans on this one.

The bottom 5 shades are the intended blush shades with the rest of the colors being interchangeable shadow/blushes. I won't lie, I spotted that reddish purple on the right and bought the palette on the spot. What can I say, I'm a makeup junkie, we all know this by now.

The colors are super pigmented, as I've found all my Coastal Scents palettes to be. I am looking forward to playing with that berry shade as well as the iridescent orange next to it, maybe for a Thanksgiving look? The only downside is the fallout...there is tons of fallout with this palette. I'm okay working with that, just be warned.

I didn't swatch all the eyeshadow colors although they are all buttery soft and lovely. I picked out a few of my favorites to highlight. That cool toned taupe color in the center is my dream shade! Let me know if you'd like more swatches, I can certainly do a more in-depth color post, or if you'd like to see some looks created from this palette!

Have you tried any Coastal Scents products?

  9. Yes, I have a ton (surprise, surprise) of purple colored blushes, mostly light, but they blend out beautifully and actually work quite nice as blushes! Think berry colored cheeks but with just a hint of berry. Super pretty! I hope you have a wonderful week my absolutely gorgeous, amazing friend! XO -Kim
