The Bells : A Novel

It's Stress Less Sunday time again, and if you know me, one of my favorite stress free hobbies is reading a good book with a nice cup of tea. One of my forever goals (goals you will tell yourself forever that you need to achieve because there will never technically be a limit on it!) is to read more. I love to read, everything and anything, and it feels like a true treat these days when I have a quiet moment to read a page or two. Lately I've been carving out time every day (whether it's in the car, or waiting for the floor to dry whilst cleaning) to read a few pages of a book I'm loving. But first, let's talk about the perfect companion to any novel, and that's tea!

My current favorite tea at the moment is the Coconut Chai Green Tea by Zhena's Gypsy Tea. I bought this in the organic section of my local grocery store and it is slightly sweet, super spicy, and incredibly delicious. I have a feeling it would be as good cold as it is hot, but I have yet to try that out. What teas are you loving lately?

Now on to the book:

I am almost done with the book (my Kindle says I'm 78% done with it) so I can't tell you yet whether you should grab a box of tissues or if it will end happily ever after. What I can tell you is this book is incredibly intense, but not necessarily in a bad way. I had no idea what I was getting into as I'd never heard of this book before. If you like history, the opera, or books about monastery's then you will definitely like this book! If that hasn't intrigued you, at least enough to pick it up and start reading it, then you probably won't be convinced to try it. I can say that no matter how it ends, it was definitely an interesting read!

What books have you been reading lately?

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

*Just a side note, this can be a graphic book for some, so if that's not your thing, definitely pass!

  2. When I was a little girl I was a huge fan of hello Kitty we had a store that had nothing but hello Kitty in it and I would go crazy! I still love it today and think I see that mug in my future with the name Andrea on it ha ha! Sounds like a fabulous book and one that I might need to add to my list but my list is growing so long I don't know if I can make it through all of them this summer. It's a dreary day here in late morning I think that might call for a cup of tea :-) I hope your Monday is off to a great start pretty lady
