April Goals

It's been a while since I've done a goals post...so long that I know for a fact I forgot about my last goals altogether. Which is awful, but was quite frankly necessary. Life is finally settling down slightly so I definitely want to get back into my monthly goals. This month I'm trying to bring my focus back to my blog. Note the word trying...while I love my blog and it's one of my favorite hobbies, it tends to take a back-burner when my obligations take over my life. Here's what I'm hoping happens for the month of April:

1. To get back to my posting schedule. I used to post 5 times a week and lately I've been lucky to even get one post up. I want to get back to posting 5 days a week which brings me to my second goal...

2. Get more organized with posts. I definitely need to plan in advance for this one. There's always that one blog post that doesn't work out...which sometimes turns into a whole week of blogging that doesn't work out. I definitely want to work on stocking up on blog photos and posts so that I can always have something ready to go. On the whole blog photos front...

3. I need to take control of my blog. I relied on my husband for a long time to help me with my photos and when I was lucky I could even get some edits out of him but life is busy and when I have a free moment he seems to be busy and vice versa. So I'm trying to understand some of these photo editing programs (um, this photo was my first poor attempt, please, please bear with me!) and I also need to invest in a tripod and remote because talking someone into taking 30 to 40 photos of my outfit isn't as easy as it sounds.

I feel like these are some pretty big tasks for the month so I'm going to leave it at 3. What are your goals for the month of April? XO

  1. Good luck with all of these goals, Kim! I really want to try being a bit more organized with my posts, too, but I don't really like writing them in advance haha ;) I seem to work best when under pressure haha! :)

    1. Thanks so much Paula! You basically put my feelings into words! I definitely work better under pressure and I also feel like my emotions are most genuine when I work under pressure because I don't have time to think too much about every word I write hahaha. Hope you're having a great start to your week! XO -Kim

  6. I can definitely relate to all your goals. Lately, there's always something that needs to be done before blogging.
Wish you the best with all of them :)

  7. I have faith in you! Try writing down any post ideas that come to mind, even if they don't work out in the end it gives me something to work with. Big goals, but you can do it. I'm excited to see how you grow :) XO!

  8. Great blogging goals Kim! I think writing them down always helps to keep you motivated and accountable. I am curious about the photo editing programs as I don't use anything except for a few of the features on iPhoto. I think my husband would love it if I invested in a tripod because I am always dragging him all over the place to take pictures! Have a lovely weekend!

  9. OMG Kim, I'm the same way with my goals haha. I like to set goals for myself each month and just kind of be proactive but I always end up forgetting what they were by the end of it. But mainly because laziness always overcomes me :(. This month I also want to just organize myself more and be more active on both my blog and youtube. I think I think too much about what I want to post that I just end up deciding that it's not worth it. I want to be a little less critical of myself and just have fun with what I'm doing. I'm really excited to see what you have planned for this month :D Just try to do what you can <3 I think we all understand that life just sometimes gets in the way so if all you can get up is one post in a week don't beat yourself over it :) Just do what you can and work it :D I also think it's great that you want to learn how to do these things on your own because it'll give you a better insight to your blog and you'll be able to really create what you want and grow your blog :D Hope you have a great week ahead of you Kim :)
